What is Art Haus?

Art Haus is a community-based art school in Salt Lake City offering classes in pottery, painting, drawing, and more. We believe everyone is an artist, and our goal is to help you discover the joy of creating, no matter your experience level.

What types of classes do you offer?

​

We offer a variety of classes for all ages, including Pottery (wheel & hand building), Drawing and Painting, Watercolor and Cartooning, Kid's Summer Camps, One Time Workshops and Private Parties and Classes. See our full class lineup here.

Do you offer classes for kids?

​

Yes! We offer after school art classes and summer camps for kids ages 5–14 in pottery, painting, drawing, and more. Kids’ programs are designed to be fun, creative, and confidence-boosting. For anyone over the age of 14, they can sign up for any of our adult classes. Visit our offering of kids classes here.

Do you offer classes for adults?

Yes! We offer a wide variety of adult classes including pottery, drawing, painting, watercolor, and more. Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to grow your creative practice, our adult classes are designed to be welcoming, hands-on, and fun. You can explore current offerings here.

We’re located in downtown Salt Lake City at:

We are part of the Maven District, a district full of women owned local businesses. Our suite is on the Northeast side of the building, and you can access the parking lot via 200 E.

How do I sign up for a class?

​

You can register directly through our website! Visit our classes here, select your preferred class, and follow the prompts to sign up.

​

What’s your refund or cancellation policy?

​

Each class at Art Haus has its own refund and cancellation policy, which you’ll find listed on the class registration page. Please review the policy carefully before signing up, as details vary depending on the type and length of the class or workshop.

Can I book a private event or group workshop?

​

Absolutely! We host private pottery nights, team-building workshops, birthday parties, and more. Check out our Private Parties page for more information.

Do you offer scholarships?

​

Yes. We believe art should be accessible to everyone. We offer scholarship spots in our kids and adult classes and camps for families who need financial support. Learn more or apply on our Scholarships page.

I’m new to art. Can I still take a class?

​

Absolutely! All of our classes are beginner-friendly. We’ll guide you through each step and create a welcoming space for you to try something new—no experience needed.

​

Do you fire outside pottery?

​

At this time, we do not offer kiln services for outside work. But our monthly members get full access to our kilns at no extra cost! Sign up for a monthly membership and get unlimited access to our kilns, clay, glazes and more.

Note: at this time we are not set up for production pottery, so if you are a professional potter looking for a studio to fire large amounts of work, this studio may not be a good fit.
