In Art Around the World, kids ages 5–13 will explore global art traditions in a fun, hands-on summer camp. Each day focuses on a different culture, combining history, storytelling, and creative projects. Campers will experiment with diverse materials and techniques while learning how art reflects the traditions and celebrations of people around the world.
Camp Highlights Include:
Day of the Dead (Mexico): Create colorful sugar skull masks and papel picado-inspired decorations.
Japanese Origami & Ink Art: Explore paper folding and traditional ink brush painting techniques.
African Mask Making: Design and decorate masks inspired by tribal patterns and storytelling.
Aboriginal Dot Painting (Australia): Learn the techniques and symbols of traditional Aboriginal dot paintings.
By the end of the week, campers will have a mini-gallery of international art projects and a deeper appreciation for global creativity.
