This class is for children only, parents please drop off your kids and pick them up after class. If you are interested in a parent/child class, checkout out our One Time Workshops!
Our classes are ongoing and students are automatically enrolled every month. Please let us know by the last class of the month if you do not want your child to continue.
In this class students will be introduced to developing their drawing techniques, deciding on art materials, and preparing their artistic understanding as a cartoonist. We will study the the anatomy and proportions of the face and body and how to effectively abstract and distort the figure into an aesthetically pleasing cartoon! This will lead us to teaching the basics of comics, covering the principles of narrative and sequential visual storytelling. Ultimately, the goal is to cultivate everyone's amazing imagination into a dynamic visual story and a diverse cast of characters.
